Ik beschrijf mezelf als:
I am honest, trustworthy, level-headed (I don’t panic), dependable, loving, responsible, confident and, fun-loving too; with a well-developed dry sense of humour.
I am also perceptive and can reveal my own heart to a woman rather easily, but trust and intimacy has to be established first of course. I would not describe myself as emotional (in the male sense lol), but I can emotionally connect with a woman very easily although I do still struggle sometimes, like most men do I think. Sometimes my own heart just needs a little feminine coaxing to reveal itself :)
I’m a mixture of introvert and extrovert depending on the circumstance, but more a confident and out-spoken introvert than anything else. I do not fear confrontation for the sake of God’s righteousness (not my own, as we have no righteousness apart from God) but hate quarreling, especially over silly things. I can tackle serious issues in a conversation and just as quickly I can switch to nonsense/humour i.e. back-and-forth between the two :) However, I’m inclined towards being more serious and intense but I love to relax as well. I need both. Character is very important to me. I dislike shallowness or, a clinical/sterile approach to life with a sense of humour failure. I do not want a robot for a wife!
Spiritually, I am neither a legalist / Law-keeper for my salvation (over-emphasis on the OT), nor a hyper-grace advocate (over-emphasis on the NT) I adhere to the whole character of God, placing His divine love first of course, and not cherry-picking the parts I'm most comfortable with. Christ has fulfilled ALL the Law and we fulfill it through loving Him :) but the (moral) Law does have a place in our Christian walk that has nothing to do with ‘works salvation’ nor Sabbath-keeping. I believe in salvation through Christ alone by faith alone in the context of grace alone and more specifically, new covenant freedom with responsibility i.e. conditional eternal security. I am neither a dispensationalist nor a classic covenant theologist nor a Calvinist nor an Arminian. There are errors in all of them. I am however, a 6-day creationist i.e. young-earth adherent.
I also like to pursue knowledge of spiritual matters, not content with merely knowing that something is true, but why it is true instead, for better understanding and application to my life, a closer relationship with God through growing spiritually and, to teach my kids. A teachable heart that follows the evidence trail is important, or else we might believe something merely because we want to believe it or, because thats what we were taught when we were young. None of us can claim to have a monopoly on Truth, but we believe what we do for good (or bad) reason and thus contend for the faith. It is certainly possible to be right, just like it is possible to be wrong. This in itself can only be true if Truth is absolute and immutable, not relative.
There is certainly room for disagreement in a relationship over lesser issues and differences in the bigger spiritual issues can be accommodated to an extent, provided the heart is teachable and is willing to follow the evidence, coupled with prayer of course. This applies both ways i.e. to husband and wife. Prooftexting alone is dangerous. One must look at the downstream practical Christian life implications of a particular theology as well, i.e. apply your rational mind to loving God (God is a rational God) Real life implications/observations must of course concur with Scripture :) Intellect with God = sense; intellect without God = humanism.
Spiritual growth is also important to me, and we can only grow by getting into His Word and studying it i.e. making the effort. Prayer is also a priority in my life and the closer my relationship (through hard times especially) to God, the more I simply WANT to talk to Him :)

Wat zoek je?
A woman who is like a 'quiet storm', confident and precise in what she believes and seeks in a man, with a strong sense of right and wrong and not shy to say it and, with a heart after God's own who stands by (not behind, under, above etc.) her man, is extremely attractive to me indeed. I also adore femininity. No beauty with a 'bad girl' or bombastic attitude please, it detracts from physical beauty. I want a woman not a girl, maturity not immaturity. Thus, there is room for either extrovert or introvert (I'm a mix of both) I despise pride and haughtiness but love true God-centred confidence and strong will in a woman, towards what is right and pleasing to God in a given situation. She must love God, love her man, and love her children fiercely and selflessly.
