In the afternoon a walk in the countryside followed by a drink in a nice country pub. (If it is winter pub must have an open fire). We spend the time together talking and learning about each other.

It has always been my goal to "Live respected and Die regretted" To be known as someone to whom the burdened heart can pour forth it's sorrow. To be a listener and to not pass judgement. To except every man as my equal. Any man who can achieve such goals has nothing else to prove. Climbing mountains, swimming the channel, running a marathon, this is just ego massaging. To die and have people say "He was a good man" is the greatest goal any man achieve.

I seek a true and honest friend, someone to whom I can relate. Obviously looks and chemistry play a part as well. The one thing I cannot abide is the phrase "nothing" when it is obvious that there is. Also amongst the many virtues I do have, there is one I sadly do not possess, I am not a mind reader, so if something is troubling my partner, please do not expect me to know what that is without giving me at least a clue. Icy silence for three days before at last saying what is on her mind is totally unexceptable.
